About
Eric Mills is a freelance writer and new media theorist based in Denver, Colorado. Always entertaining various interests, Eric spends the majority of his time as a consultant for Web 2.0 startups.
Eric likes to think in the morning, be active in the afternoon, and sleep at night. He holds a Master’s Degree in American Culture and Literary Theory, has lectured on protest and social reform, designed curricula for Chinese universities, designed web pages for both private and academic use, and really enjoys whimsical, good-natured conversation.
Most recently Eric has left his position as Ontologist for Local Matters, Inc. to pursue a love of pure and unabated research, and spend some time wood-working with his hands.
In terms of the internet, he’s no expert, but he’ll tell you that more is less, clean is good, simple is better, and that no existence of online tech-natured life will ever lead to happiness. He takes his definition of happiness from Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics where the discussion of ‘well-feeling’ and ‘well-being’ occurs.
When not stealing his lovely wife’s MacBook, Eric channels this web goodness through his 2003 eMachine running Ubuntu Linux and doesn’t enjoy using any other browser than Firefox.
